Managed services is the practice of outsourcing on a proactive basis management responsibilities and functions and a strategic method for improving operations and cutting expenses. It appears as an alternative to the break/fix or on-demand outsourcing model where Sterling IT performs on-demand services and bills the customer only for the work done.

Under this subscription model, the client or customer is the entity that owns or has direct oversight of the organisation or system being managed whereas Sterling IT is the service provider delivering the managed services. The client and the MSP are bound by a contractual, service-level agreement that states the performance and quality metrics of their relationship.

Sterling IT offers a few plans to keep it simple.

  1. Break Fix No contract, No SLA and reactive services. This is not the ideal situation as Sterling IT does not provide any reporting, monitoring or patching. It is the customers complete responsibility to manage and monitor their own network.
  2. Essentials :  The basic of Managed Services and what most clients choose. Sterling IT provide an SLA, reporting, regular meetings as well as patch management (Microsoft and Third party) as well as backup monitoring, reduced rates plus much more. Any jobs not in the plan are charged at discounted rates and per time with no minimum or callout if onsite is required.
  3. Professional : Complete Managed Services with all you can eat and a complete fixed monthly fee. Only additional charges are project work with adds/removes. Onsite is included as well.
